      HikCentral ReGuard is designed for a Managed Video Monitoring Centre, as well as traditional Alarm Receiving Centers. HikCentral ReGuard is designed to allow a professional monitoring centres to be more effective with their physical system, reduce manpower, optimize alarm processing and increase response efficiency. The system is designed based on a dedicated Managed Monitoring Centre application combined with general-purpose Video Management Software that intends to make security personnel expand their vision and attentiveness of all incoming alarms.

      PROACTIVE MONITORING

      A typical proactive live video monitoring solution will include cameras and NVRs that connect to the HikCentral ReGuard Video Alarm Monitoring via the on-site HikCentral Professional server.

      Agents at the ReGuard workstation can monitor the video feeds on the Hikentral Control Client via monitors or video walls.

      In the event suspicious activities or persons are spotted, the agents at the ReGuard station can use the IP speakers on site to warn or deter the intruder through HikCentral. HikCentral ReGuard also allows the agents to save the video clips for further investigation or supervisor verification.

      SCHEDULED VIRTUAL GUARD TOUR

      The scheduled virtual guard tour solution allows the admin of the Video Alarm Monitoring Center (VMC) to set up virtual guard tours for their sites.

      Agents at the central station will be prompted to go on tours on a pre-set schedule and follow the pre-configured standard operating protocols on the Control Client of ReGuard. The videos are fed to the HikCentral Video Alarm Monitoring Center server through the HikCentral server, which connects to the NVRs.

      The agents need to follow the steps of the virtual guard tour and take action by using the built-in features on HikCentral VMC. This includes:

      • Sending a remote warning
      • Notifying the site contacts by email or phone
      • Calling local authorities or security services
      • Saving evidence for further investigation
      • If the camera is malfunctioning, create a work order for tech support

      VIDEO ALARM RECEIVING & HANDLING

      HikCentral ReGuard alarm receiving and handling solution receives the video alarms triggered from the cameras on the remote site.

      The video alarms will show up on the ReGuard Control Client for the agents to handle. The agents need to verify the alarms and follow the pre-set standard operation procedures to take action, by using the built-in features on HikCentral ReGuard. This includes:

      • Verifying the video alarm to decide if it is a valid alarm and take action
      • Notifying the site contacts by using integrated email or phone system
      • Calling local authorities or security services
      • Saving evidence
      • Forwarding alarms to another agent or a supervisor
      • Turning on Away mode: for agents on break, alarms will roll over to the next agent
