Solution overview
Overall population ageing is a long-term development in Europe. The population of older people (those aged 65 years or more) in the EU will increase significantly, rising from 90.5 million at the start of 2019 to reach 129.8 million by 2050.
With this backdrop, it is clear that the care provision of elderly patients will come under more and more pressure, with more of us needing care as time goes on. This has an impact on the workload of care workers, who are also becoming scarcer, and care facility budgets. Hikvision offers smart solutions that can ease pressure in this stretched healthcare system.
It allows care organizations to provide better care with lower workload, giving both patients and careworkers better conditions and less stress. It also helps to make measurable, affordable and effective, which is also relevant for health insurance companies.
Wireless Emergency Alarm System
Give elderly patients peace of mind, using a Wearable Panic Button (using Hikvision’s AX PRO system) or individual alarm button. This means patients can call for help, even if they are not able to get to a traditional bell pull, for instance if they have fallen. This alerts the Nurse’s Station through a Panic Alarm Master Station, with the option to escalate an alarm if it is unanswered.
Radar Sensors
Automatic alerts can be set up to inform the Nurse’s Station in certain circumstances.
Anti-fall
If a patient falls, the smart sensor sees the movement and identifies it as a fall. It has high detection accuracy and non-contact posture detection. The alarms can be managed through HikCentral Professional.
The radars are small, light, and easy to install.
Vital sign
Vital-Sign Radar Sensor can help provide significant medical information for better analysis of sleep quality and overall health of the body.
It can measure time spent in and out of bed, respiratory and heart rates, and body movement information
Night Nurse
Hikvision has also partnered with Kepler on ‘Night Nurse’. This is a system that recognizes falls within 60 seconds. Notifications are adjustable per client to allow for tailored care, and activity reports show what happened in the room over time – allowing for better care in the long term.
Hardware options
Presence detector HW-TD1017-1
A thermal sensor covers up to 120° of the room to check if a person is there or not. It respects privacy, since a thermal cameras cannot show features, but only a person, making it GDPR-compliant. It can also monitor if more than one person is present, visits at night and how many times a day a nurse carries out care visits.
Alarma
The Alarm system uses a Non-visible Panic Alarm (DS-PEA101-V1-PS), a Wireless Portable Emergency Button (DS-PDEBP1-EG2-WE), an Emergency Button Wristband Accessory (DS-PDB-IN-Wristband), and a Panic Alarm Master Station (DS-PEA4H-10).
Radar
Radar products include: DS-TDSB00-EKH/2m(O-STD), DS-TDSB00-EKT/4m(O-STD)
Kepler
Hikvision products used in the Kepler solution include: 12 MP DeepinView Immervision Lens Fisheye Network Camera (DS-2CD63C5G0) and 4MP DeepinView Indoor Moto Varifocal Dome Camera (iDS-2CD7146G0-IZS).
